You guysssss…..I am so sorry I'm over a week late writing this. A lot has been going on. I had a cold last week, and then my mom and middle sister are out of state, and we've had a lot to do at the house the past few days. Again, I'm sorry...
So, last week, I covered "Peace" and "Patience", and this week I will be covering "kindness" and "goodness". The picture at the top of the screen goes along with both kindness AND goodness. But, without further ado, here's this week's post.

So, kindness and goodness are pretty similar. The definition of kindness is: "the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate." The definition of goodness is: "the quality of being morally good or virtuous."
Kindness:
Ephesians 4:32 "And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as the Father for Messiah's sake hath forgiven you." (KJV) Kindness is so important. Sadly, many people don't care about their fellow human beings. They ignore the homeless on the streets, ignore the starving children all over the world, don't stand up for someone who is being bullied. I suppose sometimes it's easier for people just to pretend like other people don't have problems, or don't think that they're strong enough or rich enough to help them. But the truth is, you're never not strong enough to help someone. Give the extra couple dollars you have to the poor homeless man or woman you see on the street. Donate to charities who help starving children in other countries. Stand up for the person being bullied. Imagine how wonderful the world would be if we all showed kindness to each other and loved each other.
Check out this song. It fits well in with kindness! :)
Goodness:
Romans 12:9: "Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good." (KJV) I take the word goodness to be another way of saying "righteous". We are to love what is good (that is, what the Father says is good. ), and put off the ways of the world. As believers, we are to be set-apart from the world, and not care what the world says, but rather, what our heavenly Father says we need to do. Something else I've noticed is that when we're following the rest of the fruits of the spirit, we're actually practicing goodness, or righteousness! It's kind of like the ten commandments; when you're loving the Father with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and loving your neighbor as yourself, you're not breaking any of the ten commandments.
Anywayssss...hopefully you'll be hearing from me next week when I finish off the series with Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control!
Goodbye for now,
Kyra :)
