How to Make a Dream Board

Hey there! So, if you're anything like me, you LOVE arts and crafts. A dream board is an awesome way to get all of your ideas and some inspiration up where you can always see it, and be inspired by it. The cool thing about them, is there is no right way to make one, you can customize it how you want. You can use more things, or you can use less things.

So, what do you need to make one?

Poster board (or cardboard from a large frame if you want to frame it).

Frame

Magazines or Articles that have nice photos and/or cool words in them that you want to use.

Scissors

Scrapbooking stickers, 3D stickers, etc.

Inspirational Quotes you can print out. (Goodreads is really good if you're looking for book quotes. I'll attach some other sites further down on the page.)

Glue sticks/Bottles of Glue

Sharpies, Markers, Paint, etc.

A piece of paper which you can write your goals and ideas on.

Photographs you'd like to use.

Printed/Colored Scrapbook and/or Construction Paper.

Start out with asking yourself the questions on this free list of things to ask yourself when creating a dreamboard here. Write your answers down.

Think of different words you see your dream life looking like, and write them down. (You can also use these words on your dream board.) Here's a list of possible words you could use.

Start cutting words and pictures out to apply to your dreamboard. Here are a couple of good sites that have free printables you can use: Wondermomwannabe (this is just the link to her printables. Check out her full site here.) Shiningmom (her full site is located here.) These two sites do not require you signing up in order to use the printables, but you can always search on Pinterest too. Note: try to find quotes and pictures that go along with your goals and words you wrote down.

Next, choose some stickers that go with your idea if you so choose. Cut them out (don't unstick them from the sheet yet.)

Now, you can go ahead and find some quotes and inspiration you want to use. Here are a couple of sites with inspirational printables you can use for free. itsalwaysautumn has some awesome inspirational quotes. LollyJane has some really cute Cinderella-themed printables that you could use for your dream board. TheHappierHomemaker has free monogram printables that are totally adorable. Last but not least, here are some #GirlBoss printables from BlogLovin'. If you're not a fan of any of these, like I said earlier, cruise Pinterest and other sites.

Guess what!! It's now time to start laying out all your stuff!! There isn't a particular way to lay anything out, so do it the way you want it! You can leave background showing, or overlap everything; you choose! :)

Once you have everything laid out the way you want it, start gluing! Once you have everything glued, give it a bit to dry before you go on and hang it up or frame it.

If you'd like, send me pictures of your dream board ater you create it; I'd love to see!

Goodbye for now,

Kyra :)
