The Fruit of the Spirit (Week 2)

Hey there, and welcome to Week 2 of my Fruit of the Spirit series! Today, I'm going to be covering Peace and Patience. So, sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride! :)

Peace

James 3:18: "And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace." (KJV)

Peace. We could all use a bit of this! Whether your sibling is being rude to you, or you have a coworker or friend who's causing trouble, you can choose to be the bigger person, and work things out with them peacefully. It makes things so much better between you when you do. I have 3 siblings, and I know that we're less likely to stay upset with each other when one or both of us go to the other person and come up with a peaceful solution to the problem. Matthew 5:9: "Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of the Father." (KJV)

Here's a song about Peace:

Patience

Ephesians 4:2 "With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love.." (KJV) Peace and Patience kind of go hand-in- hand in that if you're being a peacemaker, it requires patience towards other people to do so. You can be patient while standing in a long line, or when someone's making you upset, or when you're waiting for something to happen, or to get to do something. When you find yourself starting to feel impatient, think of good things, or count your blessings. It really does help. It makes the waiting less trying and annoying.

Here's a song about having patience when things drive you crazy:

Goodbye for now,

Kyra :)
