Awesome DIY Braided Bookmarks

I found a site telling how to make these awesome bookmarks, and used that as inspiration (I'll attach the link at the bottom.) These are super fast and easy to make and they're actually useful!
You'll Need:
Embroidery Thread in the colors of your choice (I used three colors)
Scissors
Needle
Thread
Button

To start out, I cut two strands of each color (six strands in total). For the pink and purple one, I cut the strands about 2 1/2 feet long. For the blue bookmark, I cut it to 4 feet 11 inches. It sounds super long, but by the time you're through it'll be shorter. (You can play with the lengths if you want to; that's what I did! :)) After you have your strands cut to the same length, put them together, fold them in half, and then tie a knot in the top large enough that your button can fit through.

After you have it tied, seperate the colors together, and start braiding! I braided until there was a tail about an inch or so, and then you tie a knot on the end to secure it. Lastly, get your button, needle, and thread (I used sewing thread that matched the strings for my bookmark.) and sew the button on the knot at the end that we just tied. Finish it off, and then you're done! You now have a handy and cute bookmark!

Goodbye for now,
Kyra :)
