12 Clean Empowering Songs That'll Make You Feel Tough

If you've read some of my posts, you'd know that I LOVE music. All different kinds of music. Here are a few empowering songs that'll make you feel super tough. (Just an FYI, all of these songs are clean and okay to play out loud! ;))

"Brave" by Sara Bareilles

What's not empowering about a song called "Brave"? In this song, Sara talks about standing up for yourself, even when you're scared to do so. "Say what you wanna say, and let the words fall out. Honestly, I wanna see you be brave..."

"Roar" by Katy Perry

If this song doesn't make you feel fierce and empowered, I don't know what will! In this song, Katy talks about basically letting someone rule her life, then realized that she could stand up for herself and she ain't gonna take anything from anybody! "Firework" by Katy Perry

Here's another Awesome Katy Perry song! The beat and lyrics to this song are so upbeat and inspiring, you'll be dancing and singing the whole way through! "Baby you're a firework, come on let your colors burst. Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!" You're gonna leave 'em fallin' down down down.."

"Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" by Kelly Clarkson

This song is so awesome! This song is all about overcoming your obstacles and becoming stronger through them. " What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, stand a little taller.."

"Fight Song" by Rachel Platten

This song is beautiful. It talks about how she's stronger after what I'd assume was a hard time in her life. "This is my fight song, take back my life song, prove I'm alright song.."

"Titanium" by David Guetta ft. Sia

Sia's voice in this song is rich and beautiful. This song talks about not letting mean people and their words get to you. This is a song that you can definitely sing along to! "I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose. Fire away, fire away. Ricochet, you take your aim, fire away, fire away. You shoot me down but I won't fall, I am titanium.."

"Thunder" by Imagine Dragons

I love this song! It has lots of attitude and makes you feel tough and awesome! "You say you're basic, you say you're easy, you're always riding in the backseat. Now I'm smiling from the stage while, you were clapping in the nosebleeds..."

"Beautiful" by Christina Aguilera

Christina's voice is rich and deep. This song is reminding ladies that they're beautiful no matter what, and words can't bring them down. "I am beautiful, no matter what they say, words can't bring me down.."

"Sit Still Look Pretty" by Daya

In this song, Daya says that she's not gonna sit still. She talks about how she doesn't need a guy to be happy. "I don't know what you've been told, but this gal right here's gonna rule the world. Yeah, that is what I'm gonna be, because I wanna be. No, I don't wanna sit still, look pretty..."

"Just Like Fire" by P!nk

P!nk's music is always very strong sounding and tough. In Just Like Fire, she talks about she's not going to allow someone else to run her life. "Just like fire, burning out the way, if I can light the world up for just one day. Watch this madness, colorful charade. No one can be just like me anyway.."

"Wild Things" by Alessia Cara

"Mean" by Taylor Swift

In my opinion, this is one of Taylor's best songs. This song has a cute country feel, and it'll make you feel awesome! "Someday, I'll be livin' in a big ole' city, and all you're ever gonna be is mean..."
